Christmas Eve
Went to Wal-Mart this morning. Left the house at 12:05 AM, to be exact. I thought it was the perfect time to finish my shopping. Nope. It was still crazy! I waited at the photo counter for about half an hour for someone to come with the key to the digital camera cabinet. As I was waiting, I watched the customers and the sales associates bustle their way around the store. I know it was very late (or very early, depending on your perspective) and for the most part, people looked so tired and so stressed. Then I observed a young couple walking around the electronics aisles. They contrasted with the rest of the crowd as they looked relaxed, unhurried. They looked like they were enjoying themselves.
It reminded me of the time at Disneyland a couple of years back when I saw a lady yelling at her daughter, telling her she needed to change her attitude.
People can snap and lose their temper on the Happiest Place on Earth.
People can calmly enjoy the Christmas moment amongst the pure hectic-craziness of last minute shopping.
It's up to us.
Peace and goodwill to all.
