Affirmation
On Monday after the morning shift, I found a note left on the bathroom sink. It read:
This is what I say to myself silently while Dr. Shiraki is working on me-- if you want to use it to help others, please do so. If not that is certainly okay. I do not want you to feel bad if not used so I did not sign my name. Mahalo-- peace, love, and prayers for you.
Attached to the note was this written affirmation:
I am open and receptive to healing.
I lovingly & freely release the need for this condition now.
My soul, mind and body are in the process of healing right now.
Please guide Dr. Shiraki's hands to provide the best possible healing.
I am being healed right now, it brings joy and love into my heart.
Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo.
I am so blessed.
Please bless Dr. Shiraki for his devotion, love and kindness.
I am not sure which patient left me this, but I am so thankful for the message.
Often times while I am adjusting, I will say a silent prayer in my heart or repeat the words "heal", "faith", and "align" in my mind as my hands work.
I believe there is a great power to be found in words, words both expressed out loud and in silence.
It is nice to know that at least one patient feels the same way!
